For the past couple of months the Food Network helped inspired me to cook some great dishes at home. For Thanksgiving I decided to make Alton Brown’s Good Eats Thanksgiving Turkey recipe. Since I’m spending Thanksgiving in San Diego, I got a ice cooler, filled it with two big bags of ice with A 13lb Turkey Brining in a Brine a Bag. The brine consist of sugar, salt, all spice and vegetable broth. With a few stops to go it’ll be a good 11 hours before I get to my final destination. I’m not a big fan of buying a pre made Turkey just as much as not updating my photo of the day. So, this Turkey will travel with me over 400 miles while I update this blog on the road! I hope you all are enjoying this Thanksgiving with some loved ones if not all of them.
