Photo a Day : Day 108 Accupuncture
Acupuncture in combination with infared light treatment works magic and miracles. In my experience acupuncture has been effective in treating my physical ailment. Acupuncture has been really effective in reducing pain. Acupuncture has been more helpful than Acetaminophen but it’s not harsh on the liver.
A little over 6 years ago a car rear ended me and I injured my head. For over 6 months I had vertigo. I went to regular doctors to a specialist like a neurologist and even had an MRI scan.. I was prescribed heavy pain killers and even SSRI’s to reduce my migraines, but it caused many issues and it did not address the nausea in fact it made it worst. I then decided to go to my grandma’s acupuncturist. After my first treatment I saw progress and the pain from my migraines slowly but surely started to dissipate. I stopped taking the medications and after 3 weeks of treatment I was fine. Since then, I always go to my Eastern practitioners and continue to do so unless I get in a situation where I’d need immediate medical attention. The rule of thumb is I always look for acupuncture practitioners that has been trained in China and operate in area’s that are mainly Chinese clientele. Although, it’s rather hard to communicate I haven’t had one bad experience yet!
Have you ever had an ailment that you had to seek an alternative method and has it helped for you?
