Photo of the Day 345 Back on the Floor
There is much that I’ve left unsaid through the past few months. My photo a day project was an experiment exploring the philosophy of investing 45 minutes a day into ones self to do what I love. Over the course of several months that philosophy has expanded… That 45 minutes a day turned into an hour and that hour snowballed into a few more hours. Eventually, I found my self investing in other aspects of my life outside of photography. Feeling tired from a busy schedule I invested in my health by working out every morning that increased my investment by 2 hours and then exploring the option to further my education which increased my time into an additional 1 to 3 hours depending on the day of the week. And with the loss of another family member it has expanded to an additional 30 minutes to reach out to family and friends.
20 days from now, this experiment will be a year in the making. Although, I wish I wrote more details of the experience as time went by I am happy with the rewards from this experiment. I am not aware of any “scientific” evidence of spending 45 minutes will lead to enriching ones life, but it has enriched my life and I invite other searching for something more to try.
Today, as I lay with my back to the floor next to my dogs bed, everything that lead unto this moment is flashing through my mind like some sort of montage. Life is full of obstacles, and if you don’t let those obstacles stop you from taking at least a step towards your end goal, then you will eventually arrive to where you aim to be. The key is to find out what you truly want out of this life. Good night!
