Photo of the Day : Day 201 The Creative Hot Dogs
Today after a short mission to Emeryville, Ca my girl and I found Doggy Style Hot Dogs on yelp. I remember seeing something on the Travel Channel about this place and decided to head to Alameda, Ca to check out it. We made it right before it closed and Milton was kind enough to take our order and eat at his place.
Milton is passionate about what he does and goes outside the box with his creations! The inspiration behind a lot of his great hot dogs were inspired by family and friends. It’s a fusion of their culture in one of America’s traditional iconic foods!
We tried the Doggyzilla, Kimchi Pyro Hotdog, and the All American dog.
The Doggyzilla is a Japanese inspired hot dog. It has brats worth, wasabi mayo, seaweed bit and teriyaki sauce. I never knew those ingredients together could make such a delicious hotdog. A family member of his owned a Japanese restaurant and retired. They were a big part of developing Doggyzilla!
We also had the Korean inspired hot dog called the Kimchi Dog. It was a nice and spicy hot dog. It contained a hot sausage, bread, kimchi, pickle and other things that I’m not quite sure of what, but it was pretty delicious! The All American had lots of bacon, cheese, cole slaw, bbq sauce and onions.
All of the selections we had were delicious! Due to the low light I couldn’t capture the hot dogs the way I wanted but I am coming back again to try the rest of his hot dogs, during the day. This place is a hidden jewel in the Bay area and worth the visit.
